What I play
- Heavy euros and long campaigns with my partner.
- Party games and heavier stuff with my game group.
- A lot of solo. My solo reviews of Ark Nova, Obsession and SETI are some of the most-read things on this blog.
- Simpler games with my kids, as long as they can actually play them themselves.
How I review
Every game gets one of three verdicts:
Buy
It works. If you like this kind of game, it belongs on your shelf.
Try
Good, but not for everyone. Play it at a café or a friend’s before you buy.
Pass
It doesn’t work. The choices aren’t real, or the payoff isn’t worth your evening.
Every review says how I played: how many plays, how many players, and where my copy came from. Gifted or paid copies get the same verdicts, and that’s always disclosed.
